I'm Speaking at SABR's Boston Chapter Meeting on January 20
Jan 13, 2014 by Adam DarowskiI’ve been asked by SABR Boston Chapter co-chair and fellow front-end baseball hacker Daigo Fujiwara to speak about the Hall of Stats at next week’s SABR Boston Chapter Meeting. It’s on Martin Luther King Day (January 20) at The Baseball Tavern (outside Fenway) from 11–5. You don’t need to be a SABR member to attend and there’s just a $10 recommended donation to attend.
Check out the speaker list:
- John Farrell: manager of the World Champion Boston Red Sox (late addition to the lineup)
- Peter Gammons: J. G. Taylor Spink Award Winner and Boston legend
- Tommy Harper: Red Sox player development consultant, Red Sox Hall of Famer, and Boston’s single-season stolen base leader until that pesky Ellsbury kid came along
- Dan Brooks: neuroscientist from Brown University, Pitchf/x guru at brooksbaseball.net, and Baseball Prospectus author
- Me: some punk who made a website on the internet
You know, no pressure. If you’re local, you should come by and say hi!
Update: I've posted a recording of the presentation.
